Our Motto: A Church where new lives begin, and old lives become testimonies.
II Corinthians 5:17
Our Mission: Our mission statement is to win souls to Christ; and to disciple and empower
them that they may take full advantage of all that the kingdom has to offer in this life and
in the world to come.
Our Cause: To boldly proclaim the Gospel to the lost, and to the total
man—this includes the development of man, spiritually, physically, mentally, economically
and socially, and to the lost. To encourage the believer and non-believer to foster a
personal relationship with God through restoration, worship, nurturing, godly living, and
edification of one another and be equipped and empowered to do true ministry for the Kingdom
of God.
The Vision: That Christians will walk in the fullness of their ‘new life‛ in Christ Jesus so
they will become mature in Christ— fulfilling their God-given purpose for their
lives.
THE IMPACT
New Life Community Church of God in Christ was established in March2009 at 8400 North
Broadway, St. Louis, MO 63147— after Elder Timothy J. Smith accepted his call to pastor and
preach the gospel. The church started with only the pastor and his three young children.
Shortly after the church’s inception, New Life started a van ministry building fund—to
purchase a passenger van. Within six months, the church was able to purchase a 15-passenger
van. The van ministry provides transportation to the elderly and disabled, and to those in
need of transportation to church.
The church has experienced phenomenal growth since its inception. Every Sunday, members would join the church— saying ‘God placed it upon their hearts to join New Life.’ Now, the Lord has blessed the church tremendously. The church membership continues to grow while reaching out through various ministries—to serve those seeking God and his blessings. We thank and praise God for his grace and mercy as the church continues to go higher in the Lord. To God be the glory!
After seeing the demands of a growing congregation, the need for increased ministries, and room for expansion, Bishop Smith began to look for a suitable place to relocate. The Lord blessed the church with a nearly 20,000 square feet worship building. One of the first major highlights of his dynamic pastoral ministry took place on Sunday August 10, 2014 when New Life Community COGIC dedicated the new edifice located at 1570 Chambers Road in Dellwood, MO.
